Mega Hygiene Station
Mega Biosecurity Hygiene Station
Engineered for Aotearoa’s most iconic forests. Trusted to protect our most sacred taonga.
The Mega Biosecurity Hygiene Station is Biosec NZ’s flagship solution for high-traffic, high-risk environments. Installed at Tāne Mahuta—Aotearoa’s largest and most sacred Kauri tree—this station was developed in collaboration with Te Roroa Iwi, the Department of Conservation (DOC), Northland Council, and Waka Kotahi.
Tāne Mahuta welcomes over 100,000 visitors each month, demanding the highest standard of biosecurity. This custom-designed hygiene station ensures every visitor can clean and disinfect their footwear effectively, helping to prevent the spread of soil-borne pathogens like Kauri dieback.
