Passionate about design and nature

Designed to protect Antarctica from any bio-security risks coming from New Zealand , this concept station is based in Christchurch Airport to ensure passengers clean their shoes efficiently and effectively pre-boarding before arriving in the continent.

Visitors are able to remove dirt or seeds from their boots on the brushes mounted to the floor grating, before stepping onto the wet mat which is soaked in diluted Ethasan  (alcohol-based hard surface sanitiser that evaporates after use.) This will kill any potentially harmful organisms and microbes on the soles of their shoes.

  • Handrails for balance while scrubbing shoes.

  • Double instructional gated entry.

  • Floor mounted brush system - can be rotated 90 degrees for prolonged use.

  • Simple bolt together assembly.

  • Handbrush with scraper to assist with very dirty boots.

  • Moulded handles in the base for a 4 person lift.

  • Base traps any dirt and foreign objects.

  • Base can act as water storage up to 400L.

  • Moulded grips on steps.

  • Grating can be easily lifted for cleaning the base sump.

  • 162kg dry weight assembly.

  • 2.3m x 1.5m x 1.3m footprint.
